Samuel George Scott, age 69, died Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was born August 26, 1950 in Lubbock, TX to Benjamin F. and Bennie L. (Yett) Scott. He graduated from Estacado, TX and earned his bachelorβs degree from Wayland Baptist in Plainview, TX. In seventh grade, he met the love of his life, Wilma βAndieβ (Rankin) and later married her in 1970. They had just shy of 50 years together and their love inspires us all. Sam spent several years on the police force in Lubbock before God called him into the ministry where he served as Pastor and later Missionary with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist General Convention and the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. . He loved to fish, golf, read and playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents. Sam is survived by his wife of 49 years Andie, daughters; Dawn Denton and husband Mike, Samantha Meagen Mitchusson and husband Allan and Ambur Smith, six grandchildren; Madison Cameron, Faith Douthit, Samantha Denton, Noah Mitchusson, Grady Smith, and Sawyer Smith. As well as, brothers; Willard Scott and wife Shirley, Wade Scott and wife Elisa and sister Charlotte Scallion. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, March 12, 2020 at McNeilβs Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
