Kathy L. Valentine of Terrell passed away on July 31, 2007 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on June 13, 1937 to the late Homer and Effie Lorene Jones Platt in Dallas, Texas. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Valentine; brother, Jack Platt and sister, Gaye Stiles.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael E. Valentine and wife Kathy of Fate, Mitchell A. Valentine and wife Laurie of Kaufman and Amanda G. Valentine and fiancé, John of Austin; grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Rebecca and Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Christian and Isaac; sister, Joan Stacks, Jimmie R. Bond, Darleen Horn and husband Bryan and Rosemary Smith and husband Roger; brother, Bill A. Platt and wife Lorraine; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel with the Rev. A. Oden Latham, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Memorial Park.
