ELKHART – Roy Eugene Hawkins, 79, of Elkhart passed away on Saturday March 7, 2020 at his home.

He was born on March 1, 1941 in Elkhart, IN to the late Leroy Hawkins & Pearl (Rezor) Young.

On July 10, 1965 he married Lynn R. Gresso in Goshen, IN, she survives.

Also surviving are 4 children: Kevin Hawkins, Kent Hawkins, Michelle Hawkins and Larry Smith, all of Elkhart, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Paula (Eric) Denning of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by his brother Bill Green, who passed 4 hours after Roy, a sister Jean Brensier and another brother, Alan Hawkins.

Roy attended Concord High School and soon after joined the Marines. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards and wood working. He loved to travel to Myrtle Beach and spending time with his family. He was employed for 18 years with MidCity Supply in plumbing and heating, he then opened up a craft store called Hawk Country Corner for 2 years, then he went to Cardinal Supply in Goshen, where he retired from.
