PRINCETON – Billy Blankenship, 89, of Princeton, died Saturday, March 7, 2020. Born March 8, 1930 in Solvern, he was the son of the late Thomas Millard Blankenship and Virgie Brown Blankenship.

Mr. Blankenship worked at Fisher Body in Cleveland, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army for two years in Korea and Alaska.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Clara Smoot Blankenship; children, Byron Blankenship and wife Brenda, Teresa Lincoln and Damon Scott Blankenship; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Greg Whitlow officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton where military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
