Willie served in the Air Force during Vietnam. He was a member of the Kerman Grotto, the Masons, American Legion, and the Shriners. He enjoyed spending time golfing, riding his motorcycle, boating, and tinkering with various projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Strickland.
Willie leaves behind his daughter, Melissa and Brian Harper, whom he loved like his own son; grandsons, Alec, Jordan of Terre Haute; daughters, Janel (Dave) Gick, Lynel (Jeff) Williams, all of Lafayette, Indiana; grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Austin, Ethan, Mackenzie; and great-grandson, Cooper. A special thank-you to Karen Hendricks, his loving companion and best friend for the last eight years.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Cremation will follow.
