Louella "Mae" Melancon, 88, of Hamshire, Texas died Saturday, March 7, 2020.


She was born on July 9, 1931 to Goldie Phend Heckaman and Schuyler Heckaman, in Chili, Indiana.


Mae was a retired pharmacy clerk at Winnie Pharmacy.


Survivors include her son, Mark Melancon and his wife, Carrie, of Baytown, Texas, her daughter, Kathy Johnson and her husband, Larry, of Hamshire, Texas, her son, Rocky Melancon and his wife, Julie, of Hamshire, Texas, her son, Gary Melancon and his wife, Candy, of Fannett, Texas, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.


She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe Melancon.


A gathering of Mrs. Melancon's family and friends will begin at 11am, followed by her funeral service at 1pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Hope Lutheran Church, 1322 9th Street in Winnie, Texas.

Her burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie, Texas under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive in Beaumont ~
