Funeral services for Clara Mae Davis, age 75, of Shelbyville, will be held 11a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Jack Carney and Ed Perryman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Davis passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Visitation with the family will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at the funeral home.

Clara Mae was born March 2, 1945, in the Wheel Community and was the daughter of the late Carl and Louise White Liggett. She was retired from Calsonic – Kansei Manufacturing Co. after 25 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband of 44 years, Harvell Davis; granddaughter, Korley Davis; and sisters, Jean Cushing, and Mary Defoe.


Mrs. Davis is survived by: children, Jimmy Sanders, and Donald (Becky) Davis both of Shelbyville, grandchildren; Jade Segroves, Samantha Sanders, Zachary Sanders, Kaitlin Davis, and Khloe Davis, great grandchildren; Charlotte Rose, Presten, Grant, Levi, and Jackson, also her brothers, Allen (Wanda) Liggett, Eddie (Lori) Liggett, Billy Wayne (Connie) Liggett; sisters, JoAnn (Joe) Bills, Betty Hobby, and Denise (Tommy) Primm; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members whom she deeply loved.

Clara Mae enjoyed cooking, taking care of others, growing a garden and flowers, also taking pictures and enjoying her loving family.
