Mrs. Janice Howell, age 75 of Gilbertsville, KY died on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY. She was a homemaker and an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was affectionately known as "Mama Jan" to many children at Kids Care and as "Nana" to her grandchildren.
Born Friday, May 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Arlie Holland and the late Gola Alvema (Pace) Holland.
Surviving are husband of 54 years, Hubert Howell of Gilbertsville, KY, son, Bradley Howell, wife Sherri of Benton, KY, daughter, Jill Howell Coates, husband Chad of O'Fallon, IL, brother, John W. Holland of Gilbertsville, KY, and grandchildren, Collin Howell, Jocelyn Howell Dykes, Lila Coates, Lincoln Coates and Charlotte Coates.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Charles LaChance officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Gilbertsville, KY.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
