Mrs. Marie Wallace Hicks of Cordele, Georgia died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 a. m. in the sanctuary of the Beulahland Baptist Church, 702 Jones Avenue, Cordele, Georgia.
The burial will follow at the Westview Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Sister Marie Wallace Hicks was born December 24, 1920 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. She was born to the late Mr. Cleveland Wallace and the late Mrs. Rosa Harvey Hicks. Educated in the public school system of Crisp County, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and united with the Beulahland Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia. She served as a member of the Senior Choir. She moved to Miami, Florida and was employed as a Nursing Assistant. In 1990, she returned to Cordele and continued serving at Beulahland until her health failed.
On Thursday, February 27, 2014, her earthly walk came to a peaceful end. Her transition came while a patient at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia. Along with her parents and siblings, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jeff Hicks.
