Willa Veneva Gibson, age 78, passed away peacefully in Evansville, Indiana under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice, on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Veneva was born at Karbers Ridge on Dec. 19, 1941 to the late Willie and Effie (Joyce) Drumm.
Veneva, as most knew her, was born and raised in Hardin County and later lived in Harrisburg. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a lifelong Christian. She worked for 25 years as a seamstress at the Harrisburg Cap Factory before retiring. Her love was her family, shopping with friends and spending time with her cats. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed.

Veneva is survived by her son, Mike (Tammie) Gibson of Robards, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kyle (Miranda) Gibson and Autumn (Isaac Nelson) Gibson; and a great-grandchild, Holly Gibson. Veneva was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Willie Drumm Jr; and a sister, Irene Turner.
Veneva has been cremated and will be placed to rest at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 8 at Joyce Cemetery, Elizabethtown. Friends and family may pay their respects at a celebration of life memorial dinner at the Equality Banquet Center, immediately after the service. Sue and Truman Sauls will be officiating the ceremony.
