Billy Matts French, Sr., age 81, of Elda Hester Road, Brooksville, Kentucky, passed away March 7, 2020, at the Robertson County Healthcare Facility, in Mount Olivet, Kentucky. He was born July 4, 1938, to the late Matts and Hazel Mastin French. Billy married Ruby Phillips French on July 15, 1961.

He is survived by: three children, Ann (Terry) Snapp, of Mount Olivet, Billy French, Jr., of Bucktown, and Peggy (Roy) Staggs, of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Dustin Snapp, Matthew French, Sarah Mason, Autumn French and Dalton French; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Wayne French and Jimmy French; and three sisters, Pearl Hamilton, Margret Fryman and Betty Humble.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Palmer Funeral Home, in Germantown. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope.
