Wayne L. Shook, 58, 1410 W. Sixth St., died Tuesday at his residence of an apparent heart attack. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. The Rev. Omar W. Pettersen, pastor of Whitfield United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Shook was Oct. 19, 1921, at Meade, Kan. He was a longtime Sioux City resident. He married Sylvia Marie Titus at Elk Point, S. D. She died Sept. 11, 1974, in Sioux City. He had worked for Chesterman Bottling Co. for several years in the late 1940’s and early ‘50s. He had been a salesman for Sears Roebuck, and Co. for more than 20 years, retiring in 1979. He presently owned and operated Tooey’s Tap. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sons, Wayne S. and Kevin M., both of Sioux City; one daughter, Mrs. Andrea Gross of Rapid City, S. D.; his mother, Mrs. Geneva Shook of Everett, Wash.; four brothers, Harold of Seattle, Wash., Donald of Salem, Ore., Dean of Everett and Robert of Ukia, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Marciel Leggett and Mrs. Delores Brothers, both of Everett, Miss Wilma of Seattle and Mrs. Janice Streeter of Virginia Beach, Va. and five grandchildren.
