Wayne Jackson, age 77, of Hueytown, Al, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2020. He retired from US Steel with 38 years. He was an Alabama Football Fan, and enjoyed fishing and sitting out on his porch listening to the birds, and watching deer. Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his grandson Kyle Wayne Jackson, and his son-in-law Wayne Barefield. He is survived by his wife Judy Morris Jackson; children Donna Polet (Trevor), Deidre Jackson, Diana Barefield, Monica Morris (Joey), and John Derek Poole; grandchildren Marlana McBride, Mason McBride (Cassie), Morgan McBride, Kala Jackson, Koby Dunnam (Cassie), Kasie Carden, Kensley Wesley, Amber Writesman (Jake), Ashley Morris, Austin Morris, Drew Chapman, Kyler Morris, Karsen Morris, Jaci Brown, Emberlee Brown, Jennavesia Ary; great grandchildren Braxton, Bryleigh, Axel, Jacob, Jett, Kati, T. J., Tori, Brinli, Dalton, Maverick, Kelsie, and Wyatt; 2 brothers Bo Jackson (Debbie), and Larry Jackson; sister Lynell Hubbard (Charlie). The visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday March 9, 2020, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
