DERRY -- Matthew J. Dillon, 49, of Derry, died at his residence on Oct. 3, 2008.

He was born in Milford, Conn., on Aug. 7, 1959, to Desmond and Maryanne (Buckley) Dillon Sr., and had been a N.H. resident for nearly 30 years. He owned and operated MAACO Auto Body in Lawrence, Mass.

He loved power boating, spending time at the lake, skiing and being with his family. He also enjoyed dirt biking and riding his Harley Davidson.

Family includes his wife of 25 years, Dawn (Burnside) Dillon; his father of Canterbury, Conn.; his son, Alex Dillon of Derry; his daughter, Jamie Dillon of Derry; a brother, Desmond Dillon Jr., of Canterbury, Conn.; a sister, Patricia Anne Dillon of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.

SERVICES: A memorial gathering is Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. in Manchester, with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 5:15 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of NH, 814 Elm St., Manchester 03101.
