The bells of St. Mary's Catholic church tolled this morning, and soon the sad news was known that Anton Welsch had passed away at 8:15. He had been suffering for many months with a complication of diseases and repeatedly took treatment at hospitals at Milwaukee and Fond du Lac. At times his condition appeared improved but yesterday he failed rapidly and this morning he was released from all suffering.

Anton Welsch was born in town Lomira Jan. 18th 1870 thus he would have reached the age 53 years tomorrow. He was married May 5, 1891 to Miss Anna Bachhuber of this city and for years they resided at Hartford where Mr. Welsch conducted business until they moved to Mayville in 1903. Here he was associated with the Mayville Produce Co. and of late with the Bachhuber Bros. Auto Co.

He leaves his grief-stricken widow, one brother, John, of this city and three sisters, Mrs. John Lehner, also of this city, Mrs. Tom Ford of Rubicon and Mrs. Peter Klink of St. Lawrence. He also leaves many friends who are sorry indeed that he was taken away so soon in the prime of life.

The funeral will take place Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Welsch residence on German Street to St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. Father Kramer will officiate and the interment will be at the new Catholic cemetery.

To Mrs. Welsch and the other mourning relatives we extend sincere sympathy in their great sorrow.
