James F. Coffey, age 77, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2009 at his home.

He was born April 9, 1032 in Jamestown to the late Green M. and Alice Brown Coffey. He served in the US Army and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Olga Semen Coffey of Jamestown; 3 daughters, Kim Stairs of Leo, IN, Cathy Bryan of Albany, IN and Tracy Sargent of Kokomo, IN; 3 step daughters, Mary Lou Cooper of Fishers, IN, Tonya Guinn of Cary, NC, and Hollie Miller of Jamestown; 3 sisters, Faye Starbuck of Greenwood, IN, Sandy Hammond of Fishers, IN, and Chena Crider of Elizabethtown, IN; 8 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; and 11 step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Herwche.

A Masonic service, conducted by Russell Lodge 284, was held Wednesday, August 26th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 27th at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with Pastor Sheldon Alley officiating.

The family requests donations to Union Chapel United Methodist Church Youth.

H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown was in charge of arrangements.
