Etta C. Watson, a retired food service manager with the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board with 27 years of service, died at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at 3:44 p.m. She was 85, a resident of Greenwell Springs and a native of Indian Mound.

Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., until religious service in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Daryl Purpera of First Baptist Church of Central. Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Henry M. Watson; two daughters, a sister, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Shelly A. Bertaut; and parents, Manny and Emma Arnold Chemin.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Central, Order of Eastern Star-Baker Chapter and the VFW Baker Post 4224 Ladies Auxiliary.
