Dr. Dale Eugene Bennett, 85, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehab. Dale was born to Homer Worth and Hazel Bennett on March 7, 1933 in Marion, Indiana. Dr Bennett was a Professor of education at the University of Illinois and the University of Evansville. In private practice he worked with clients dealing with neuro-cognitive rehabilitation. Dale served in the United States Army and received many awards as a marksman and radio operator.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, son, daughter, step-son; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at Hamilton Pointe, for their loving care for the past two years...also Heart to Heart Hospice and Dr. Karl Sash. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes~Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Indiana (812) 853-8314. Full Military Rites will be conducted and Rev. Fr. Joseph Ziliak will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Dr. Dale Bennett to the Sam Strong Foundation, PO Box 252, Newburgh, Indiana 47629-0252.
