Isabel Joseph Adams, a native and former longtime resident of Lockport, LA, and New Orleans, LA, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in Lafayette, LA. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Albert J. Adams, Jr.; her sister, Josephine John; stepdaughter, Jean Higgins and her husband Bill Higgins; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents the late: Habib and Zahia Nicola Joseph; brothers: Isaac, Fred, Joe, and Emile; and sister, Celima J. Ferniany. She was a parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church and worked many years at the family business of H. Joseph Sons in Lockport. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
