Daniel J. Stevens 75 of Colfax died on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Lafayette. He was born on December 21, 1941 in Frankfort to Harry & Helen (Painter) Stevens.
Dan married Kay F. Mouser on Feb 19, 1961 and she preceded him in death on February 9, 2006.
He was a member of the Colfax Wesleyan Church and attended Washington Township Schools in Jefferson. He served as a volunteer at the Wesleyan Campground for 14 years.
Survived by 1 son, Daniel J. "Joe" Stevens Jr., 3 daughters: Tamala Barjas-Boudargham, Cynthia (Robert) Jones, Patricia (Earl) Arnold, 3 sisters: Grace (Royce) Ford, Marilyn (Dick) Eckhart, Barbara Johnson, 3 brothers, Patrick (Joy) Stevens, Robert (Betty) Stevens, David (Mary Lou) Stevens, 14 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia A. Stevens, a grandson, Charles J. Stevens, a sister, Peggy Sherrill and a brother, Norman Stevens.
A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Colfax Wesleyan Church. The Goodwin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and services.
