Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the New Beria Missionary Baptist Church (21978 Al Highway 99, Elkmont, AL 35620) with Pastor Corey Thomas officiating. Interment will be held in New Beria Cemetery. Ms. Malone will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Mother Annie Louise Norman Malone was born May 30, 1942 in Limestone County to the late Mary Alice Horton Norman and the late Ben Norman. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the New Beria M.B. Church, where she began a life long devotion to Christian service. She served in various capacities in the church including: Mothers Board, Mass Choir, and the Missionary Society until her health failed. She was also a member of the Athens Limestone Community Choir. She graduated from Trinity High School, Class of 1961. She retired from UAH in Huntsville, AL after 23 years of dedicated services. She was married to the late Morris Malone, Sr. and to this union five children were born. God called her to heavenly home on Tuesday morning, August 3, 2010 at home. Precious memories of life will be cherished by her five loving and faithful children: Morris (Sheila) Malone, Jr. of Athens, AL, Cynthia (Charles) Ward of Huntsville, AL, Allison (Rodney) Malone of Athens, AL, Mechelle (Mark) Moore of Madison, AL, and Darius Malone of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Mary Ella (Johnnie) Bailey of Madison, AL, Ida Malone of Tanner, AL and Dorothy (George) Nelson of Athens, AL; twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a special friend Irene Harris and a host of caring nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
