Brenda Darlene Bascue Bryant of Hensley, Arkansas was born March 31, 1953 in England, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Clarence Cleveland and Julie Virginia Lemons Bascue. She graduated from Bryant High School, went to college at NEC for one and a half years, was a member of Audabon Society, Defenders of Wildlife, ASPCA, and the Humane Society. She was a member of Shepherds Chapel Church, a Christian that really loved Jesus and God. She was an avid gardener and artist.

Mrs. Bryant died Thursday, March 5, 2020 at her home at the age of 66. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Bascue, Lonnie Bascue and C.J. Bascue.

Survivors: husband, Leon Bryant of Hensley; son, Michael (Karen) Cole of Chicago, Illinois; daughters, Regina (Philip) Garrett of Hensley, Pam Gardner of Prattsville, Kay Carter of Prattsville; brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Bascue of England, Johnny (Barbara) Bascue of Bald Knob, Harold Bascue of Oklahoma; sisters, Wanda Dillon of Little Rock, Virginia Claxton of Jacksonville, Loretta Carlock of North Little Rock, Betty Bottoms of Ft. Smith; grandchildren, Matt Calvert, Kristi Crow, Chase Carter, Dillon Carter, Jonathon Garrett, Juliona Garrett, Hannah Garrett, Kaylee Garrett and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Salem Cemetery in East End.
