MARIE L. STOCK SCHERERVILLE, IN Marie L. Stock, age 89, of Schererville, passed away December 20, 2010. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Roy) Regeski of Schererville; one son, Kenneth Schmidt of Las Vegas, NV; two granddaughters: Dawn (Scott) Crawford and Deborah (Tom) Dykstra; four great grandchildren: Jacob, Kyle, Keith, and Noah; one brother, Ron (Joan) Woerner; one sister, Grenedene Harder; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Eugene Schmidt; second husband, John C. Stock; one brother, Karl Woerner; and one sister, Charlotte Greene. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church of Griffith with Shawn Cornett, Minister, officiating. Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, December 27, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN. Marie was a charter member of the First Christian Church of Griffith, a member of Elderberries at the church, and sang in the church choir for many years. Memorials may be made to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation or Down Syndrome of NWI.
