She was born on August 12, 1950 in Elwood to James and Junie (Napier) Vest. She attended Elwood schools and received her GED from there. Linda had worked at Service and Materials, formerly of Elwood for 15 years. More recently she was a supervisor at American Woodmart for 9 years. Linda thoroughly enjoyed people, friends and family. She liked to camp out, go to Brookville Lake and boat and special camping time with friends at Hickory Woods. She loved flowers, enjoyed antiquing and anxiously looked forward to Thursdays as her Girls Day Out. Very special to Linda was the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.

Services honoring Linda’s life and legacy will take place at 6 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Chaplain Tobby Smith officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment of cremains in the Harmon personal columbarium located in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria will take place at the convenience of the family.
