Larry L. Durham, formerly of Dover, passed away Mon., July 8, 2013 in Jefferson, Ga.
Mr. Durham was born Sept. 11, 1946 to the late Minous and Estella Pritchett Durham.
Mr. Durham worked for Lowes, DuPont, and S.G. Williams of Dover for 18 years before retiring. Mr. Durham was the keyboard player for The Starlighters for 25 years with his brother, James Durham. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and going to car races with his nephew, Danny Durham.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; and his brother, Albert Durham Sr.
Survivors include children, Sherry Steele and her husband Paul of Dover, Amanda Shelton of Lawrenceville, Ga., Kevin Bordeaux and his wife Michelle of Dover; 11 grandchildren, Cody, Chayce, and Brittany Steele, Matt, Kyle, and Amber Embert, Reggie and Cameron Shelton, Jordan, Christian, and Abby Bordeaux; a sister, Rachel Jackson; and three brothers, Daniel Durham and his wife Alberta [Alverta], Marshall Durham and his wife Virginia, and James Durham and his wife Doris all of Dover; his two beloved dogs, Skeeter and Angel.
A celebration of Mr. Durham's life will be held 2 p.m., Sun., July 21, 2013 at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church, 756 Main Street, Cheswold. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Immanuel Union United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 309, Cheswold, DE 19936.
