Kenneth Evans, Sr., was born July 16, 1915, in Ft. Scott, Kansas. Kenneth had four brothers and one sister, who preceded him in death, and had two surviving sisters-in-law, one in California and one in Arizona. He worked at Armco Steel for 42 years before he retired. Kenneth and his wife, Geneva, were married for 60 years. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2001. Kenneth fell ill in November of 2005 and left this world peacefully on March 23, 2006.

He was survived by his seven children: Mary Ellen Ackors, Louise Ellington, Frances Gaither, Elaine Harrington, Kenneth "Sonny" Evans, Edward "Mooch" Evans and Larry "Charlie" Evans; 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas, where the funeral services were held. Burial followed at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
