Patricia graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1965. She was a teacher assistant at McGarry Middle School for 19 years. She also worked at Arc Lanes for 36 years where she ran the Ladies’ 10 Pin Classic for 30 years. Patricia is a member of the Evansville Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a member of Nativity Catholic Church for 30 years and a current member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Patricia was an avid Clabber player, bingo player and gambler. She and her husband enjoyed traveling with friends and going to see their grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Simon; daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Hurst; son, Jeff (Amy) Simon; grandchildren, Nathan Hurst, Ryan Hurst, Jolee Simon, Jenna Simon and Sara Simon.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2020 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Zach Etienne officiating. Entombment will be at Park Lawn Cemetery. Published in Courier Press, March 6, 2020.
