MYTON -- Funeral services were held in the Episcopal church at Vernal Tuesday, June 5, for Mrs. Hannah Jane McCarrell, 81, who died in the Roosevelt hospital Saturday, June 2, at 10 p.m., following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 17, 1870, in St. Clere, Kan., a daughter of Francis and Judy LaChance Boan. She moved to Oklahoma as a child and was married to Charles C. Crandall in Weber Falls, Okla. in October 1887. He died Jan 16., 1899, in Burlington, Wyo. She was married to Jesse McCarrell, Feb. 24, 1901, in Burlington.
After their marriage they moved to the Uintah Basin, where they resided two years in Vernal, 34 years in Gusher, and five years in Myton.
She was a member of the Episcopal church in Randlett.
Surviving are her husband and two sons Harmon and Jesse D. McCarrell, both of Craig, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Nettie Crandall Perez, Long Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Burial was in the Vernal Memorial park, under the direction of the Dillman mortuary of Roosevelt.
