He attended Cottonwood Public Schools. Samuel accepted Christ at an early age at Cottonwood Baptist Church. He later united with Mount Olive Baptist Church. He retired from Borden Dairy Company of Austin after working over thirty years as a truck driver.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maggie Harris, Eva Hunter, Sally Horton, Bertha Wilson, and Ethel Thompson; and brothers, George Anderson, Eugene Anderson and Lloyd Anderson.
Samuel leaves to cherish his memory his children, Edward Lee Anderson, Elsie Brown, Doris Elaine Sample, Marilyn Theresa Anderson, Kathy Yvonne LeBlance, Jean Evelyn Patterson, and Samuel Morris Anderson; sister, Iva Henry; twenty-eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
