Sherry L. Hughes, 56, of Jefferson City, MO, passed away September 22, 2019, at her home. She was born on January 22, 1963, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a daughter of Dale R. Hughes (deceased) and Sharon Hazelhorst.
Sherry was a 1981 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was employed with Williams & Co. for 20 years. She loved listening to Dio and also enjoyed roller skating, swimming, bungee jumping, roller coasters and animals.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandmother, Anna Mae Scott; a grandmother, Virginia Plank and a grandfather, Donald Plank. She is survived by a sister: Sherol Glaubitz and her husband Philip, New Bloomfield; brothers: Shawn Hughes, Holts Summit and Shane Hughes, Jefferson City; and nieces & nephews: Sheena Hughes and her son Trey, Jessie Otto and her daughter Desiree, Robert Hughes, Elizabeth Hughes and Ashley Hughes.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, at Riverview Cemetery Pavilion with Reverend Frank Whitney officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Tyler Woods Funeral Home.
