Eli Inman, aged 52 years, of Hanna, was drowned in the Kankakee river, south of Hebron, Saturday afternoon. Inman and a son about 20 years old, left Hanna in a small sail craft, heavily loaded, and floated down the stream on a duck hunting expedition. The wind was high and a sudden gust upset the boat, which immediately sank. Inman went down with the boat and did not come up again. His son swam around vainly searching for his father. He was finally compelled to pull for shore, which he reached in an almost exhausted condition.
