Mrs. Karen Hadley, 9117 Market Lane, Greenbelt, Maryland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Bridges, Martin, Tennessee, died Tuesday in George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC after an illness.
She was graduated from Martin High School and the University of Tennessee where she was editor of the year book and was selected to "Who's Who In American Colleges and Universities". She received her master's degree from the University of Maryland and was employed as a teacher in Prince George, Maryland, County schools.
Surviving beside her parents are her husband, James, formerly of Duryea, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. (Sharon) Bill Mizelle, Silver Spring, Maryland; Mrs. (Myra) Stanley Galinn, Landover HIlls, Maryland.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Frank P. Dills Funeral Home, 715 Main Street, Duryea, with Reverend Norman Kase officiating. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Friends may call today 2 to 4, 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert Pumphrey Funeral Home, 557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland, and Thursday, 2 to 4, 7 to 10 pm at the Dills Funeral Home.
