He attended Butner High School in Seminole County, Oklahoma, attended Spartan School of Aeronautics for Radio Engineering, and graduated from The University of Tulsa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics. David flew with the Army Air Corps in WWII from 1943-1945, and was awarded several medals. He worked for Dresser Atlas from 1948-1960 and again from 1970-1986, Douglas Aircraft, North American Aviation, and finally retired in 1986. He was also an active member of Second Baptist Church, Houston.
David is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Stedman; his parents, Robert and Myrtle Stedman; and sister, Ruth Martin.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Stedman.
A graveside service for David will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Houston National Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
