David Wayne Douthit, 71, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 pm Friday, March 13, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, 100 State Hwy OO, Odessa, MO 64076. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 13, 2020, also at First Baptist Church. Inurnment will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church.

David was born July 13, 1948 in Lexington, Missouri to George and Elsie (Campbell) Douthit. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1967 and went on to obtain certification as a Small Engine Mechanic at US Trade School, as well as certification in HVAC. David had been a very active as a member at the First Baptist Church; including helping with the maintenance of the building, serving as a deacon, and being involved with the nursing home ministries. David was an avid gardener, he enjoyed perusing the seed catalog, talking on the phone and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include siblings: Roger Douthit, of Kansas City, Missouri; Martha (Tom) Byers, of Raytown, Missouri and Lola (Jim) Miller, of New London, Missouri as well as many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
