Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Logie and Josie Guest Hall.
Mrs. Farmer attended Slater Church of God and was a former member of Lyman Church of God. Shirley was a Godly woman who loved to sing in churches and on television.
In addition to her husband Cecil, she is survived by four daughters Dianne Culbertson, Debbie Stewart, Barbara Fennell, and Doris Fox; a son, James Fox; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother Clifford Hall, and several nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore Fox; and a granddaughter, Melissa Culbertson.
Burial will be held at Graceland West Cemetery.
