Mr. Dormon O. Rogers of Trenton, FL, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Haven Hospice in Chiefland, FL. He was 92 years old.
Mr. Rogers was born on November 19, 1927 to Thomas and Lizzie Rogers in Levy County and had been a resident of Trenton since moving from Odessa, FL in 1973. He proudly served his country in the US Army and retired from FLDOT. He was also a farmer who loved to fish when he could find the time. Mr. Rogers had lived at Ayers Rehabilitation Center for the last year and a half and was a long time member of Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juanita Smith Rogers; his sisters, Joyce Causey and Natalie Hall and his brothers, Lomer Rogers, Aubrey Rogers and Leslie Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his daughter, Dina (Tim) Lynch of Aberdeen, NJ; his sons, Frank (Patti) Rogers of Hale, MI and Jeff Rogers of Trenton, FL, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral Services for Mr. Rogers will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2020 in the chapel at Watson Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Douglas officiating. Interment to follow at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
