CARBONDALE – Lynn Alan Morrison, 83, of Carbondale, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Heartland Regional Hospital in Marion.

Lynn was born on May 4, 1936 in Lincoln, NE to Vernon and Helen (West) Morrison.

Lynn is survived by his son, V. K. Morrison and wife P. of Zwolle, LA; daughters, Marcella K. and husband Stafford and Mary both of Carbondale; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, G. Morrison, MD of Daytona Beach, FL; and sister, Martha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Helen Morrison; sons, Jeff Morrison and Greg Morrison; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his beloved dogs Bear and Tuffy.

Lynn worked in sales for over 40 years in a variety of occupations. He was of the Baptist faith and a lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited.

Private family services were held with burial at Murdale Gardens of Memory in Murphysboro.

Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale is in charge of arrangements.
