Paul Wayne Slone, born June 28th, 1934 in Booneville Arkansas. He passed away on Wednesday, February 26th at the age of 85 in Frisco Texas.
He was the biggest car broker in the 60’s and 70’s, traveling all over the country buying and selling hundreds of cars, only using two telephones. He then settled in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he ran a dealership, Triangle Auto Sales, and enjoyed time with family and friends. When he retired, he and his wife moved to Malvern Arkansas at a ranch that they owned. He raised and owned race horses.. His horses won many races and he truly enjoyed the sport and the animals. Eventually they sold the ranch and lived in Hot Springs where he went to the horse races every weekend.
At 85, Paul was the last living representative of his family and was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Clara Slone, his brothers John Earl and Jay O Slone, his wife, Ercell Slone, and only daughter Paula Romero. He is survived by his son in law, Joe Romero, his granddaughter Kristina Romero, and his nephew John Paul Slone.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, at 2:00 pm, at Roberts Funeral Home in Booneville, Arkansas. The burial will take place at Carolan Cemetery, Booneville, AR., 72927.
