Nancy was born October 30, 1935 in Sistersville, WV; daughter of the late Owen and Opal (Neff) Slider.
She was a homemaker; enjoyed raising her family, cooking, canning and flower gardening; and a lifelong member of the Buck Run Church of Christ, where she meet her soul mate, Joe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cooper; step-father, Walter “Toots” Hammel and sister, Betty Hamilton.
Surviving are her four children, Tom (Lue Ann) Cooper of Buck Run, WV, Dianna “De” (Ed) Klug of Proctor, WV, Doug (Kay) Cooper of Middlebourne, WV and Scott (Jean) Cooper of Paden City, WV; brother, Jim Slider of Elkins, WV; sister, Grace Buck of Sistersville, WV; ten grandchildren, Kari Camerlin, Rebecca Thomas, Nicholas Klug, Chad Cooper, Daniel Cooper, Sarah Meeks, Amber Witschey, Andy Cooper, Gabi Cooper and Luke Cooper; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2020 with Kenny Keifer officiating.
Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
