Billy Joe Leonard, 72, of Bennett, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020.
Funeral Services, 3 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Bennett. Officiating, Rev. Don Edwards. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Billy Joe was a native of Chatham County and a longtime resident of the Pleasant Grove community.
He was owner and operator of Bill's Heating and Air and a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Billy Joe loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Billy Darrell Leonard, and William Brian Leonard, and his parents, Sam and Ruby Brady Leonard.
Survivors: wife, Glenda Leonard, of the home, daughters, Kathy Houghton, of Advance, Laura Grubbs, and husband, Matthew, of Franklinville, sister, Becky Ritter, of Ramseur, brothers, Reciel Leonard, and wife, Phyllis, of Asheboro, Ted Leonard, and wife, Jane, of Asheboro. Bernard Leonard, and wife, Barbara, of Bennett, grandchildren, Jonathon C. Houghton, Will Grubbs, SarahBeth Grubbs.
