Susan Douglas was born November 4, 1946 to Lloyd and Ruth (Grumann) Thorson, she was the 13th of 14 children. She married Richard Cox on June 25, 1963 and had 5 children, Richard, Rhonda, Ruth, Robyn and Roger. They divorced in June of 1968 shortly after moving to California.
Suzy married Calvin Lee Douglas on the 25th day of November 1972, they were married for 27 year.

Julie Van Slooten (Granddaughter), Jennifer Van Slooten (Granddaughter), both form Minnesota, Tyler Ruble (Grandson) of Minnesota. Sidney Wenkebach-Hood (Great Grandson) of Colorado.
Proceeded in death her parents Lloyd and Ruth Thorson, Brothers, Myron, LaVerne, Samuel, Gene Thorson. Her sisters, Rita, and Orpha Thorson. Her husband Calvin and her oldest child Richard Cox.
