Her four children were ages 2-10 years when her husband, Maj Robert Lee Snyder USMC, was killed in action in Vietnam. After moving her family to FL, she became a very successful business woman having started her own small business.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas M Rice and May C Nolan Rice; her husband, Maj Robert Lee Snyder; and her brother, Thomas Martin Rice. She was survived by her two daughters; two sons; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
