Anna Kinnach Rogers, widow of John Rogers, who was a sports writer for the Memphis Press Scimitar, died peacefully on Friday, February 21 at the age of 99 in Germantown, TN. Anna was born on June 2, 1920 to John and Agnes Kinnach. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, John and her son, Johnny Rogers. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Rogers Weigel of Memphis and Cheri Rogers Kamler of Collierville, her six grandchildren Kristi Weigel Pillow (Ken), Richard Weigel (Heather), Melissa Kamler Burnett (Tim), Michael Kamler (Gina), Marc Kamler (Michelle), Matthew Kamler (Betsy) and 10 great-grandchildren, Christopher Burnett, Patrick Burnett, Michael Burnett, Tyler Kamler, Preston Kamler, Drew Kamler, Zac Kamler, Grace Kamler, Jaylee Pillow and Anita Pillow. She lived a very full life of service at St. Anne Catholic Church and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church for many years. She was a devoted mother to her three children and very active grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed many activities with them all. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, neighbors and all who knew Anna. Private services will be held with the family on Friday, February 28 at Calvary Cemetery in Memphis.
