Mrs. Mary H. Swindell
A requiem mass for Mrs. Mary Horn Swindell, active for a number of years in Gold Star Mother and volunteer work, will be offered at 9 A.M. tomorrow at Our Lady of Victory Church. Mrs. Swindell, widow of William Swindell, who died in 1948, died Friday following an illness of two months. She was 75. She became active in Gold Star Mother work following World War II, during which five of her seven sons were in military service at the same time. One, Charles W. was killed in action. During recent years she had been active in volunteer work at Perry Point Veterans Hospital with the Ladies of Catholic Charities. Mrs. Swindell had lived at 3616 Hineline road since 1920. Surviving are four sons, Gordon L., of Pasadena, Md; Lawrence A., of Smithfield, Va.; Paul G. and George E. Swindell, of Baltimore; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret E. Miller, of Baltimore, and sixteen grandchildren.
