CUMBERLAND – Peggy Sue Bell, 79, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020, at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born February 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Carl Dennis and Charlisa Faye (Barrett) Wooten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Bell; and daughter, Denise Moore.

Peggy loved painting and spending time at the ocean, but most of all, she loved her family.

Surviving are children, Tera Mazzone and husband, Nick, Damien Bell, Diane Kirchhoff and husband, Billy, and Melody McMillin; and grandchildren, Keegan Mazzone, Morgan Seal, Tommy Kirchhoff, Amber Norfolk, and Chuck Norfolk.

In accordance with her wishes, Peggy’s body was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 5 p.m. with Chaplain Bruce McBride officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Peggy always had a special place in her heart for children, so in lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Jane’s Place, 26 Greene St., Cumberland, MD 21502 (https://www.jpicac.org/).
