Mrs. Tara Porter Smith age 50, of Villa Rica Georgia passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Georgia.

Tara was born in Carrollton, Georgia on March 10, 1969, the daughter of Mack Porter and the late Elaine Lovvorn Porter.

She had worked for a number of years in the Whitesburg Health Clinic and was a member of the Villa Rica Christian Church. Tara enjoyed the outdoors camping and especially spending time with her granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband of twenty five years, Mark Smith, children, Wesley Smith, Carrollton, Alex Smith and Brianna Smith, Villa Rica; siblings, Tim Porter, Coral Gables, Florida, Kim Mashburn, Ranburne, Alabama, Matt Porter, Roanoke, Alabama, extended generations also survive.

In addition to her mother, Elaine Lovvorn Porter, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patty Matthew.

The funeral service will be conducted at J. Collins Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m..

Following the service and in accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
