Frances K. “Fran” Weber, age 95, of Irvington, Illinois, passed away at 12:25 P.M. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 9, 1924 in Clinton, Kentucky, the daughter of James and Allie Mae (Harris) Klapp. She married Lawrence Page Yates in 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1972.

Mrs. Weber was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 30 years, Lawrence Page Yates; son, Joe David Yates; granddaughter, Justine Reeve and brother, Karlis McClure.

Mrs. Weber loved her church and was a long-time member of the Friedens United Church of Christ in Irvington, Illinois. Mrs. Weber was a member of St. Mary’s Hospital Women’s Auxiliary, Centralia Women of the Moose Chapter # 223 and Centralia Veteran of Foreign Wars Post # 2055 Auxiliary. Mrs. Weber loved tending to her flower gardens in her backyard. She was known as a great cook and when she was younger, she made pies at her mom’s restaurant in Clinton, Kentucky. She enjoyed traveling and dancing with her husband Leonard. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her husband, children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Weber was a homemaker and housewife. Earlier in life, she was a floor lady at Perry Morris Seed Company in Mayfield, Kentucky. She lived most of her life in Irvington, Illinois.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Frances K. “Fran” Weber will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 6, at Friedens United Church of Christ in Irvington, Illinois with Pastor Stacy Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery in Irvington, Illinois. Family and friends may visit with Mrs. Weber’s family from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Friedens United Church of Christ in Irvington, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Weber’s honor to the Friedens United Church of Christ Building Fund in Irvington, Illinois and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
