Secretary to US President Richard Nixon. Born and raised in Washington D.C. Jane graduated from Stanford University. In 1948 Jane was assigned to the Committee on Un-American Activities, where Nixon was a junior member. In 1950 Nixon won a seat to the Senate, she was also married with Nixon in attendance. Jane left Capitol Hill in 1953 to become a homemaker. In 1960 she returned to the campaign for Nixon's presidential race and to work for Senator James McClure of Idaho until 1974. Jane had spent the last 18 years in Sarasota, there she was active in the Sarasota County Republican Executive Committee and the church of the palms. She raised three children, two daughters and a son. She died of heart complications at the age of 79.
