Raymond retired from NY Central Railroad after 25 years. He subsequently worked for Timony Railroad Construction Co., for another 25 years. His memberships included: Stony Ridge United Methodist and S.C.R.A.P., just to name a few. He also enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music, collecting antique tractors and hit-and-miss engines. Nevertheless, it was his family always remained his greatest joy.
Raymond is survived by his children: Randy (Monica) Royal of Genoa, Karen Royal of AZ, Lisa Macklenar of TX, Raymond B. Royal of Luckey, and Robert (Megg) Royal of Rossford. Sister: Lois Thiel of Wharton, OH, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and special companion: Norma Taylor of Walbridge. In addition to his wife Beverly, he was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Raymond will be laid to rest next to Beverly, in a family Committal Service, at Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. Officiating, will be Rev. Cheri Holdridge. Memorials may take the form of contributions to: Stony Ridge United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
