Elizabeth "Betty" Marguerite McAllister, 86, went to be with our Lord Jesus, May 20, 2017. She was born on June 25, 1930, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Andrew Herbert Frim and Beatrice Edna Dimmick Frim. She graduated from Wellsville Central H.S. in Wellsville, New York in 1947. She married Don A. McAllister in Wellsville, New York on April 30, 1949. They recently celebrated sixty-eight years of marriage. They moved from Wellsville, N.Y. to Prescott, Ariz. in 1952, then moved to West Fork, Ark. in 1956, then to Springdale, Arz. until settling in Pea Ridge in 1966. Betty was very accomplished, starting out as secretary to Judge Bill Enfield then moving to Executive Secretary to the Vice President at Cooper Communities in Bella Vista, Ark. Then she joined Wal-Mart where she was appointed editor of the "Wal-Mart World" newspaper. From there she went to work at the Head Start Program in Rogers, AR. and then secretary to the renowned "Dr. Spock", all the while living on a cattle ranch and being a devoted wife and wonderful mother to three sons. She enjoyed raising flowers, watching birds, crocheting, and was an avid reader. She also took joy in baking birthday cakes for everyone in her family, and doing crossword puzzles. Her biggest highlight of the year was having the entire family over to her house for Christmas Eve, which was a great party with good eats and presents for everyone.

She is preceded in death by a son, Don McAllister Jr., her sister, Ruthie Cornelious, a grandson, Jeffery Smith, and a long time loving daughter-in-law, Patsy Clanton McAllister. She is survived by her husband Don, and two sons, Case McAllister & Connie Colgrove, and Mark McAllister & Ava McAllister; six grandchildren, Trish Woods of Cave Springs, Ark., Jeremy (Ronna) McAllister, Mike McAllister, Cory (Laura) McAllister, Tommy McAllister, and Joshua (Kolla) Bunting all of Pea Ridge, Ark.; 16 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Mason, Kelsey, Kasey, Clancey, Cameron, Maggie, Clinton, Tristen, Joshua Clyde, Elijah, Michael, Gabriel, Madison, Hayden, and Weston. Honorable mentions to Trinity McAllister, Tessa Reyna & family, Sharon Dixon McAllister, and Jackie "Nora" Hays, who are all dear to her. She also leaves behind her most dearest friends for life, Billy & Janet Williams and family, and two nieces, Andrea & Nettie.

Service is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge with burial at Dent Cemetery. Visitation is set for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 the funeral home.
